Time Limit Expungements
There are people who did not have the option to plead under either the 894/893 provisions. This does not mean you cannot get an expungement. It does, however, mean that the options are limited.
In order to qualify for an expungement under what I like to refer to as time limitation expungements, certain amounts of time must pass before you can file.
For misdemeanors it is 5 years, and/or felonies it is 10 years. If you have an old felony conviction that is holding you back, you may be eligible to file for an expungement if enough time has passed.
