Lawyer explaining misdemeanor expungement

If you have been arrested and convicted of a misdemeanor, you may be eligible for an expungement.

Under Article 894 of the Louisiana Code of Criminal Procedure certain misdemeanors can be expunged. In order for your case to be expunged, certain requirements need to be met.

The terms of your probation must be complete, all fines and fees must be paid, and you must not have any new felony or misdemeanor arrests pending while you are applying for your expungement. If your conviction is for a DWI, there are additional requirements that must be met.
